Random things you should experience

  1. Mobb Deep's Shook Ones II mashed with Steve Zissou's helmet music. (via Catchdubs).
  2. Spike Jonze's Adidas commercial, featuring Karen O of Yeah Yeah Yeah's fame on vocals. Quicktime required.
  3. New Coldplay songs, acoustic at that. #9 and #11 for those not familiar with their catalogue, or just too lazy. Get them while they last, something tells me they won't be there for long. (via Stereogum).
  4. Necrophilia among ducks ruffles research feathers.
  5. New tsunami fear as scientists find dangerous stresses on ocean floor. (both courtesy of The Guardian, aka MitM's favorite newspaper.
  6. Essien admits admiration for United. Make it happen Sir Alex, this move is badly needed.
  7. Young love, republican stizz.
  8. 'America's war on drugs is inflicting deep and disproportionate harm on women...' as reported by the AP. More support is needed for organizations like the ACLU and Electronic Freedom Foundation who do so much work on behalf of people who'll never realize the protections they've fought for the liberties of people around the world.
  9. Conservative Party of Canada finds itself in a time of reinvention, yet again. Any momentum they had going into the last election appears lost, it would really be a mistake for them to force a no confidence vote in the House.
  10. Last but not least, the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) compares file-sharers to drunk drivers. Right, that's definitely the way to go about gathering public support for your cause, by comparing teenagers trying to download Black Eyed Peas songs to some knob about to commit vehicular manslaughter.

My Final Four: Illinois, Wake Forest, Connecticut, Kentucky.

Have a happy St. Patrick's Day, don't get too drunk, the weekend is just around the corner. Just make sure you don't do something like wave a British flag around in the face of a bunch of Catholics. Then again, who'd be dumb enough to do something like that?
