March 2006 Playlist

Move over Smoosh, there's a new pre-teen sheriff in town. And what better way to step into the international limelight than make your grand entrance at SXSW 2006. Hailing from Fremantle, Australia and will undoubtedly be talked about at least for their tender age without saying anything for their talent, The Flairz are not ones to be playing mall shows anytime in their near future. With an average age of 13 you'll excuse them for being heavily influenced by the likes of The Strokes, and who knows where the future lies when you aspire for that degree of success before you even get to high school.

New albums are beginning to roll in for 2006, and it's shaping up to be quite an interesting year. The UK scene seems to be in a bit of a lull after the smashing year of 2005, however with albums from White Rose Movement, ¡Forward, Russia! (i'm not even going to try to figure out how to type that upside down exclamation point. Edit: it's amazing what a cut and paste will do) on the horizon you'd be hard pressed to let your guard down that easily. Something always breaks through in one form or another.

Sorry about the lack of posting, new job has kept me out of the loop on posting with any degree of consistency. Plus Biba, pictured above has been distracting me lately. Monthly playlist should be updated tomorrow.
