11/18 The Arcade Fire @ Magic Stick

'Napoleon Dynamite' was yelled a couple times, though I'd say Richie has way more energy on stage, as evidenced by the dozen or so drumsticks he completely shattered in the first couple of minutes of the set. Was definately the highlight of my night.

"Artest's lack of PR skills may only be rivaled by his lack of A&R skills. New York-based Allure has struggled to find an audience for years."

Ron Artest has a problem. He has an album to promote and not enough time to promote it. No, it's not his album, but that of a washed up R&B group on his label, Tru Warier. Yes, the only thing worse than being on the downside of your career is putting your trust in Artest to revive it.

I love Ron as a player, but he's to the music industry what Michael Moore is to the treadmill industry, about as relevant as he should be. So when Allure's Amazon.com sales rank is at 3,546 in its first week, you should be worried...

Raptors just destroyed the Knicks tonight, 114-91. The only thing that remains to be determined: Matt Bonner's nickname. Chuck Swirsky is really pushing hard for the Red Rocket, personally I think Bonnfire is way more creative. No more localized nicknames, they sound horrible when the playergets traded.

Updates

The title of the site has change, mainly because I'm going to try and develop it more professionally than I have in the past. With that said, I mean more content, richer interface, and who knows what else. I'm tired of the lame website, time to usher in a new era.

Bell Canada is there anything you can't commercialize

Basically I thought Bell made this really nice commercial about Rememberance Day, except at the end they plaster this fucking lame logo on their message. So I went to their website and complained- this could've been a really nice gesture if it was left on its own, the commercial already incorporates the product, it didn't need to hit you over the head with with the hard sell.

DAVID, ARMITAGE

armita1@msn.com Message : Way to exploit Rememberance Day for all it is worth. Hopefully by slapping your logo on at the end of the commercials bringing public attention desperately needed for this day. Hopefully you sell 8 more cell phones as a result.

Of course here's the response I got a few days ago, predictable in its ability to explain the corporate structure to such concerns:
